EmpowerHER– Female Enterprise – Business Builder Programme Unveiled in Carlow & Kilkenny

The Local Enterprise Offices in Carlow & Kilkenny County Council are proud to announce the launch of the EmpowerHER program for 2024, in collaboration with the esteemed Powerhouse Women in Business Network and Network Ireland – Carlow & Kilkenny Branch. This innovative initiative aims to empower and elevate female entrepreneurs in the region, offering a unique opportunity to enhance business efficiency and competitiveness.

"At the heart of the EmpowerHER program is our commitment to fostering collaboration and creating a dynamic synergy among participants," said Melissa Doyle , Business Advisor on behalf of the Local Enterprise Offices. "This programme goes beyond mere cost savings; it's about crafting a stable, secure, and sustainable business that can navigate the complexities of the economic landscape."

The EmpowerHER program is designed to cater to female entrepreneurs at any stage of their business growth journey in Carlow & Kilkenny. Whether a startup founder or an established business owner, participants will benefit from practical, hands-on sessions that delve into the heart of business challenges and opportunities.

Megan Manning , President of Network Ireland Carlow said "We believe that every business process contains potential for improvement, and EmpowerHER is here to guide participants through a transformative journey, Megan continued to say. "This initiative emphasizes the importance of refining business processes, enhancing competitiveness, and optimizing existing capacities and capabilities."

The program unfolds through two dynamic group workshops scheduled for 9th and 16th April 2024 at Enterprise House on O'Brien Road in Carlow. Following the workshops, participants will receive four ½ days of individual support from a seasoned Productivity Coach, providing a platform to discuss specific challenges with Business Experts and implement strategic improvements.

The programme will be delivered by Jigsaw Better Business, Allyson English, Co-Founder & CEO of Jigsaw said “EmpowerHER  guides women entrepreneurs through a strategic thinking process with LEAN principles. It's about liberating yourself from non-value-adding activities and focusing on what truly drives growth and value in your business”. The EmpowerHER program is free of charge and valued at €2,500 per place. It is open exclusively to female owner managers in Carlow & Kilkenny.
