FORM – Carlow’s Creative Cluster of designers and crafts people exhibit at Kilkenny Arts Festival

FORM, Carlow’s Craft Cluster Group, will be exhibiting from 5th-14th August in the Pembroke Hotel as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival.

FORM is a creative craft cluster made up of designers and crafts people living and working in the Carlow area. It was developed by the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Carlow in 2014 and supported by the Design and Crafts Council of Ireland. The group is made up of 10 designer-makers in the areas of Ceramics, Stone Sculpture, Felt, Quilt Making and Jewellery.

 Collectively FORM’s aim is to:

  • Raise the profile of designer makers and craftspeople producing high quality work in Co. Carlow
  • Promote Carlow as a destination for high quality design and craft
  • Provide a forum for the exchange of views, common objectives, collective activities, constructive criticism and feedback amongst highly skilled designer makers and craftspeople

Speaking about the exhibition, Chairperson of FORM, Nicola Brown who is a textile artist said: “"We in FORM are delighted with the ongoing support from the agencies. The overall support respects our artistic viewpoint and helps us gain competitive advantage at home and abroad."

Head of Enterprise, Kieran Comerford said: “Working in partnership is key to the development of a supportive enterprise eco-system. Projects such as FORM are clearly focused on tangible economic outputs which will bring further employment to the local economy.”
