Finalists announced for County Carlow Digital Awards

Thursday 23rd March 2023 will see digital champions from across Carlow being acknowledged at the second annual County Carlow Digital Awards. The Awards are being organised by The Local Enterprise Office Carlow and Carlow County Council together with their partners SETU, The Business Post and Content Plan. In total there will be nine winners who together with the overall winner will share a prize fund of €10,000 euros and receive a bee-spoke trophy.

The Awards will acknowledge and promote businesses based in County Carlow who have developed their digital and web marketing platforms as part of their product offering. The Awards are open to recipients of Trading Online Vouchers and businesses with less than 10 full time employees.

Announcing the finalists , Cllr. Brian O’Donoghue , Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, was quoted as saying, “Carlow County’s Council’s commitment and dedication to supporting our local businesses are vital ingredients in creating a vibrant local economy for us all to enjoy. It is fantastic to see so that many Carlow businesses have utilised a Trading Online Voucher to embrace online trading and to over 40 companies who entered the Digital Awards for 2023.” 

Kieran Comerford , Head of Economic Development & Enterprise with Carlow County Council commented; “Carlow County Council is delighted to acknowledge the Carlow businesses who have enhanced their businesses digitally during 2022. In particular, we pay tribute to the businesses who through availing of our Local Enterprise Office Trading Online Voucher Scheme have not only managed to help their business survive the Covid pandemic but have reached new audiences and elevated their business to new heights”.
