An introduction to identifying, targeting and exploiting new sales opportunities in Northern Ireland.

With a population of 1.75 million people, Northern Ireland is a small but attractive market for many Irish businesses. Last year, over Euro 1.1 billion of products and services were sold by Irish businesses to customers in Northern Ireland and cross-border sales have increased significantly in the last few years.

This seminar will focus on how you can explore, target and exploit real sales opportunities in Northern Ireland.

The workshop is aimed at owner-managers of SMEs and micro enterprises who:

  • Manufacture or provide tradable services.
  • Are interested in exploring how to assess and target business opportunities in Northern Ireland.

The seminar will be highly practical and will seek to provide you with both the knowledge and the confidence to target new sales opportunities in Northern Ireland. More specifically, the workshop will provide you with an insight into:

  • Where the real opportunities lie in Northern Ireland for Irish SMEs and micro enterprises.

 

  • What cultural similarities and differences you need to be aware of when seeking to do business in NI.

 

  • How to use NI as a stepping stone into the larger markets of England, Scotland and Wales.

 

  • How to tender for work with public sector customers in Northern Ireland.

 

  • How to access practical support to support your efforts to win new sales in Northern Ireland.

Our Guest Speaker

Simon Devlin is founder and managing director of Full Circle Management Solutions Ltd, one of Northern Ireland’s leading management consultancy practices. Over the 17 years that he has worked in consultancy, Simon has worked with over 3,000 businesses across Northern Ireland, Ireland, GB, North America, Eastern Europe, Middle East, India and Sri Lanka.

Simon is also the director of the InterTradeIreland Acumen Programme and works regularly with Irish businesses seeking to gain a foothold in the Northern Ireland market.

Simon will share his experiences of the opportunities that Irish businesses can exploit and the pitfalls that they need to avoid in seeking to sell into Northern Ireland.
