Local Enterprise Office Launch new Digital Marketing Training Initiative

Digital Marketing –How to get the most from your new website

Carlow County Council’s – Local Enterprise Office has partnered up Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet and ConnectMe Marketing to offer the County Carlow Business Community an opportunity to take part in a new digital marketing training programme.

Digital marketing includes all marketing efforts that use an electronic device or the internet. The 6-week programme will assist companies in reviewing how their business use digital channels such as their website, search engines, social media, email, and other websites to connect with current and prospective customers.

Speaking about the project, Darren Keating, Business Advisor with Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office said “There has never been a more important time for businesses to get their online marketing message right. This course aims to enable local businesses to really get a understanding of a topic that is often seen wrongly as complex”

Darren continued to say, “the programme runs over 6 weeks and covers all the main topics that are required in an online marketing strategy but more importantly each company will be offered 2 hours one to one mentoring. This mentoring is a key part of the overall training and really allows companies to get a customised action plan”

Supporting the launch of the programme, Cllr. Tom O’Neill Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council said “Following on from the success of the Trading Online Voucher programme and the unprecedent move towards online business it’s clear that having a understanding of how to sell successful online is crucial, this programme will provide the skills and knowledge necessary to create a successful strategy”

Speaking about the project, Ashling Ward, Network Manager with Carlow Kilkenny Skillnet

said “We were delighted to work with the Local Enterprise Office and ConnectMe Marketing to create an exciting course that is easy to understand and implement. Running from the 8th of January this is a perfect opportunity to hit the ground running in 2021”

This 6 week, 3 hour per session, course will begin on the 8th of January 2021
