The second Irish InnoCom Stakeholder Meeting was held on 18th September 2023 with representatives from various organizations discussed key aspects related to the InnoCom project, which is funded under Interreg Europe. The primary focus of the discussion revolved around the Regional Analysis , Best Practice Templates and ongoing survey.

Regional Analysis: The meeting delved into a regional analysis to identify specific challenges and opportunities for SMEs in the Carlow region. Understanding the unique needs of local businesses is crucial to tailoring support and initiatives effectively.

Methodology: Participants discussed the methodology for addressing administrative barriers. This involves a comprehensive review of current processes and identifying areas where improvements can be made to streamline access to EU funding.

Best Practice Templates: The meeting emphasized the importance of developing best practice templates. These templates will serve as guidelines for local authorities to follow in improving governance, reducing regulatory hurdles, and enhancing the overall support system for SMEs.

The overarching goal of these discussions is to empower SMEs in the Carlow region by making it easier for them to access EU funding opportunities. By doing so, we aim to boost their competitiveness and economic growth. Furthermore, improving the governance and regulatory framework will not only benefit SMEs but also enhance the reputation of the institutions involved.

Library , Carlow County Development Partnership,County Carlow ChamberCarlow County Council, KCETB (Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board), Carlow College, Bagenalstown Chamber of Commerce Group & SETU
