County Carlow – Festive Family Experience virtual programme kicks up a gear.
Over 27,500 people have viewed and liked the messages from Santa to primary school children across County Carlow which is part of County Carlow – A Festive Family Experience run by Carlow County Council and its Local Enterprise Office. The winner of the competition will receive a €1,500 voucher for electrical equipment for their school from Swans Electrical and a tablet to raffle off to one lucky student in the school . The competition closes at midnight on this Thursday 3rd December 2020. Given the level of engagement to date, Santa made a phone call to his friends, John & Christine in Fairgreen Shopping Centre and they are delighted to provide an additional prize of €500 worth of vouchers for a selected school that has engaged in the competition. The additional prize will be awarded to one of the schools who has participated in the competition, the winning school will be selected at random. The vouchers will be in the form of five €100 vouchers to raffle to lucky students in the winning school.
Speaking about the engagement to date Cathaoirleach of Carlow County Council, Cllr. Tom O’Neill said “I’d like to thank all the principals and teachers across the primary schools from County Carlow for helping spread the message and I look forward to presenting the winning schools with their prizes over the coming weeks”. The Cathaoirleach continued to say “during the week, we will see the reopening of many of our local businesses and our message as a local authority this year is to look for local, shop Carlow and when you do shop online make a decision to shop local online which supports jobs in County Carlow”.
County Carlow – A Festive Family Experience is co-ordinated by Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office. Kieran Comerford, Head of Enterprise said “I’d like to thank John & Christine from Fairgreen Shopping Centre for coming on board to help respond to the level of interest and demand in this competition”. The Head of Enterprise continued to say “over the coming weeks as we move into December we look forward to continuing to roll out the County Carlow – Festive Family Experience Programme with a series of competitions together with virtual and a physical event scheduled for later in the month”.
