As a retailer it is important to evolve and keep up to speed on the changing needs of consumers and what is happening in the industry. But more importantly as a retailer, you need to be aware of how these factors can impact on your business. As part of the 2023, programme, the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow County Council is offering a series of supports designed to support retailers by expanding their network, knowledge and market awareness in 2023 and beyond. All activities are highly subsidised and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Retail Excellence Ireland – Retail Retreat 2023, Dublin
The Retail Retreat 2023 run by Retail Excellence Ireland is a combination of workshops, seminars, key-note speakers, and exhibition stands featuring approx. 400 retailers and exhibiting the latest trends in the retail industry. The Retail Retreat will be held in the Royal Dublin Convention Centre at the Radisson Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin on May 30th and 31st 2023.
The conference will be cutting-edge and will cater for every aspect of a retailer’s journey from enhancing their store presence and increasing conversion rates to ROI (Return on Investment) for their digital budgets.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear innovative, challenging and engaging content from experts in all retail and digital fields to help them lead their stores to great success and deliver a progressive and high-performing team during challenging times, as well as participating in networking and panel opportunities with some of the best in Irish Retail.
Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office will sponsor 5 retail businesses across County Carlow to attend this event in Dublin in order to improve their business and create networking opportunities. The cost of this event to each business will be €50, with the remaining €250 sponsored by the Local Enterprise Office, and will cover ticket only to the conference/exhibition on 31st May 2023.

Salon International 2023, London
Salon International, aimed at the professional hairdressing industry, runs on 14th – 16th October 2023 at ExCeL London. Carlow LEO will host a group attending on Sunday 14th & Monday 15th October 2023.
Salon International is a professionals-only exhibition that enables hair professionals to network, learn and discover what is new on the market and the trends to look out for in the industry. The aim of the exhibition is to unite the international community of professional hairdressers with the brands that uphold and uplift the industry. It is the perfect place to discover the latest innovations in hair products and services, whilst being updated on forthcoming trends and education. Salon International welcomes all professionals from the hairdressing industry including senior buyers, salon owners, hairdressers, hair stylists, students, apprentices, colour technicians, barbers and more.
There will be seminars, workshops and live demonstrations at the show. There will be a business live programme, three free live stages courtesy of Hairdressers Journal and Modern Barber, a whole day of Salon Live shows as well as stages on exhibitor stands.
This programme will cover flights, accommodation for one night, group transfer to and from airports and the ticket to the conference/exhibition for two days which will include 1 x Salon Live Show and 5 x Business Live Shows. Other shows may be booked at the retailers’ own expense. Cost for the programme is €150 per person.
