The Local Enterprise Office Carlow is delighted to announce its schedule of training and development programmes for Autumn/Winter 2018

LAUNCH OF TRAINING, DEVELOPMENT AND NETWORKING

The Local Enterprise Office, as part of Carlow County Council, provides a wide range of supports to new and existing local businesses. Today (14th September 2018) the Local Enterprise Office launched its comprehensive range of high-quality business training programmes in County Carlow for the Autumn/Winter season designed specifically for small business owners and start up enterprises.

Whether you are interested in a 'Starting Your Own Business' course or want to develop your skills in order to grow your business, there is something suitable for everyone. The training programmes are subsidised, making them very affordable.  Group sizes are small and courses are practical and geared specifically towards owners and employees of small businesses, giving you skills and knowledge in a short course, which you can apply immediately in your business.

Reviewing this seasons programme , Kathleen Holohan Chief Executive of Carlow County Council said “we are delighted to be able to present this opportunity to the business and start up community. Our training , development and networking activities represent a significant investment by Carlow County Council and our partners Enterprise Ireland in supporting the development of entrepreneurial and business development talent” , Holohan continued to say “we have a variety of new programmes this season such as R-Innovate Connect Networking Events in Ballon & Bagenalstown , Catalyst – Food , Drink & Life Sciences Programmes , a new business networking event with Keith Barry , a gamification methodological training approach to Brexit Challenges and a new programme designed to help enterprises develop their company’s revenue in the Tourism Sector to name but a few” , Holohan continued to say “partnership and innovation is key in the development of our Training & Development supports and we are delighted to work with a variety of partners this season and we hope that companies and individuals engage in this year’s programme which is heavily subsidized”.

Speaking about the programme, Aileen Mc Grath, Senior Enterprise Development Officer with Carlow County Council’s Local Enterprise Office said “The aim of our training programmes is to help small business owners and entrepreneurs to get through those difficult stages of running a business and to learn new skills for the long term development of the business and is part of an overall suite of supports provided by the Local Enterprise Office and I would encourage people to meet us to discuss their challenges and the potential supports”.

During the year we add various conferences, networking events and specialized events for enterprises to our programme.
