Plan and Brief a New Website - Workshop

This workshop will give you, the business owner, an understanding of the importance of having a good website, and its effect on your branding, conversions and retention. We will ensure you know how to build the plan for designing an effective website, and the ability to build a brief that will get you the best result.

The workshop will be divided into 4 sections:

1. Intro & Concepts
2. Websites Principles
3. Content
4. Operation & Execution

During the workshop we show participants how each of these topics is reflected in real websites built on various platforms and from different industries. There will be plenty of discussions with participants to understand their own individual pain points so we can address them, making sure they receive the most value, and have them try to plan their new website or improve their existing one.

Following the workshop participants will receive a comprehensive summary document and a unique website-design template they can populate themselves and which will help them plan & prepare the brief.

Learning Outcomes

Our goal is to leave the participants with full understanding & motivation, and practical knowledge they can apply confidently & immediately.
After the workshop, participants will be able to;

• Define their business goals and the role their website plays in achieving these goals, as well as in defining & enhancing their digital presence.
• Define the right structure for their website
• Answer the main questions of a website flow – What is it, How it works, Does it work
• Build a content plan for their website using LinkedIn, updating existing content, discovering unused content, and creating & leveraging new content
• Understand the importance of reviews on their website, how to ask for them and where to place them
• Understand the benefits of having a newsletter and how to use a subscribe popup correctly
• Gain a basic understanding of SEO and what they need to pay attention to when working with the developer
• Write a website brief for their supplier and will know how to select a supplier and how to work with them to get the best results

Delivery Methodology

This workshop will be held remotely online via Zoom. The workshop will include many real-life examples, hands-on activities and plenty of discussions with participants. Participants will receive a comprehensive summary document after the workshop and a unique website-design template they can populate themselves and which will help them plan & prepare the brief.

A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants the day before the workshop.
