The workshop simplifies the key pieces of employment law and gives practical tips for handling employee relations issues in an informative and hands on manner through exercises and case studies. It can be delivered either online or in person.

EMPLOYMENT LAW
Training Objectives include:

- Best practice recruitment & selection practices
- How to handle common employee relations issues
- Understand how to manage external bodies and their requirements

- Recruitment & Selection – how to hire within the law while ensuring you get the right fit candidate
- The fundamentals of the employment relationship (contracts, GDPR, types of contracts and working arrangements)
- Working Time – setting up basic practices to comply with working time, annual leave and public holiday requirements
- Equality & Dignity at Work – putting simple policy and steps in place
- Disciplinary & Grievances – understanding obligations and HR policy requirements
- Leave of Absence – legally driving time off and how to comply
- Employee Relations Issues – the whole programme considers how the small business owner can handle employee interactions and avoid external exposure and issues.
