This course assumes no prior knowledge of SEO - everything is explained right from the basics.  Participants will learn how to drive quality traffic to their website using a range of SEO strategies.  They will also learn that there is a large number of factors involved in SEO, and that while it is not particularly difficult or expensive, it can be quite time-consuming and needs continued work.

At the end of the course participants will have a good understanding of SEO and what they need to do, both onsite and offsite, in order to get their site higher up in Google search results.

  • What SEO is any why it matters
  • Keyword research: What it is and how to find the most relevant keywords for your business
  • Onsite SEO:  Identify and evaluate the main components on a website that affect SEO
  • Offsite SEO:  Some of the elements outside of a website that affect SEO success
  • How to audit your own website's SEO, and how to see some of the SEO strategies other websites are using
  • Creating an XML sitemap and submitting it to the search engines
  • What inbound links are, and how and where to create them.
