The Local Enterprise Office Carlow, in partnership with Carlow Arts Festival, invites applications from local makers, artists and designers to take part in the Carlow Makers Market on Saturday 30 May 2026.
Taking place on the festival’s busiest day, the market will add to the atmosphere of the town, creating a welcoming space where creativity and enterprise meet.
Lower Tullow Street will become a lively meeting place for making, creativity and conversation. Bringing together craft, art and design, the market will showcase the work of talented local makers and offer visitors the chance to discover and purchase handmade work directly from the people who create it.
From ceramics and textiles to jewellery, print, illustration and woodwork, the market will highlight the depth of craft and creative enterprise across Carlow and the surrounding area.
This new initiative from the Local Enterprise Office will support local makers and creative businesses while contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of Carlow Arts Festival across the town.

Each selected participant will be provided with a Gazebo space 2 X 2 meters , table and chair.
Participation fee: €50
Who Should Apply
Applications are welcome from craft makers, artists and designers working across disciplines such as ceramics, textiles, jewellery, print, illustration, woodwork and other handmade pieces.
We are particularly interested in high-quality handmade work and locally produced craft.
Applications will be managed by Local Enterprise Office Carlow.
