The Local Enterprise Office invites you to a free seminar explaining the developments in Cyber Security for Operational Technology (OT)

 

Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny, Kilkenny County Council and in partnership with the Regional Skills Forum, SETU and Enterprise Ireland are staging a free breakfast briefing for manufacturing / engineering businesses to explain the importance of the Cyber Security for OT in the context of EU Directive on the Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS2),  identifying available supports and discuss cyber security topics for business.

 

The breakfast briefing which is taking place at the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny, 8am - 10am, Thursday 19th June, will examine the importance of cyber security for 'Operational Technology' in the context of EU Directive on the Security of Network and Information Systems Version 2. Representatives from a range of state agencies and funding organisations including the Regional Skills Forum, Engineering the South East Cluster, SETU and Enterprise Ireland will be present. A discussion panel with local entrepreneurs, will address real-life experiences and Essential Insights for NIS2 Compliance & Operational Resilience - all you need to know.

 

In advance of the event, Cllr. Michael McCarthy, Cathaoirleach noted, "Kilkenny County Council  through the local enterprise office and digital team is actively working to highlight the supports available for businesses in Kilkenny through events like this Cybersecurity event".

 

‘This event event is all about assisting business owners and start-ups in better understanding and learning more about the developments in Cyber Security” according to Aileen McGrath, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Office, Kilkenny County Council.
