Glanway Ltd, based in Belview port represented Kilkenny at the at the 2018 National Enterprise Awards in a competition organised by the Local Enterprise Offices at the Mansion House, Dublin on Thursday 24th May. Eoin Treacy set up the company in 2015 to develop an innovative waste processing line which removes recyclables and organics from waste transforming the remainder into Refuse Derived Fule (RDF) which it exports to energy facilites in Europe.
Congratulating their achievements to date, Fiona Deegan with Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny said: “The National Enterprise Awards are an annual celebration of the achievements of Ireland’s small businesses and Glanway Ltd has developed rapidly since it commenced operations 3 years ago to become the largest waste processing facility in the South East of Ireland. Glanway Ltd is a worthy finalists at this ceremony and the Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny is proud to have supported the company along its journey to success.”

County Kilkenny was represented at the National Enterprise Awards by Eoin Treacy, founder and managing director of Glanway Ltd along with his wife Emma and proud parents Thomas and Anne Treacy. Also present was the Cathaoirleach Cllr David Fitzgerald and Fiona Deegan, Head of Enterprise, Local Enterprise Kilkenny .
The Local Enterprise Offices in local authorities celebrated ‘20 Years of Winners’ at this year’s National Enterprise Awards, which was originally set up in 1998 to celebrate the achievements of Ireland’s micro-enterprises and small businesses.
