- Official Launch of International Women's Day by Colette Byrne, CEO, Kilkenny County Council and other representatives of the council.
- Introductions to the various projects and events taken place in MacDonagh for IWD16.

I’d Like to tell her... is a wonderful, collaborative project which encourages people to leave positive messages for women in their lives by completing the sentence "I'd like to tell her...". Chalkboards will be positioned in the shopping centre and participants are asked to complete the sentence in any positive way they feel inspired to. If you wish to create a board for your workplace or community to be part of this project, need more information or indeed to contribute your own sentences contact idliketotellher@gmail.com. Resource Table with information, leaflets and pamphlets relating to all aspects of women’s life. Representatives from various groups will be there chat about their groups in a relaxed, informal capacity.

Honouring the Deep Feminine /World Peace Work 7.30-9.30, Butler House 7euro/5 euro concession
Katharina Brocke, from Findhorn Foundation Community, Scotland will share her experience with Global Peace Work and the new Soul of WoMan Initiative. This uplifting evening will include a guided meditation and an introduction to the practice of grounding our gratitude to the earth by using written mandalas.

World Peace Ceremony 11. - 11.45 Tholsel High St refreshments afterwards in City Hall
All are invited to attend this inclusive event, which has been held all over the world and aims to up-lift inspire and connect all people in our diverse ways of striving for equality, freedom, and mutual respect. Councillor Breda Gardner will introduce the event and welcome International Facilitator Katharina Brocke who leads Peace Events in Europe and Japan in her role of Representative of the World Peace Prayer Society.
