LEO Kilkenny announces Autumn Training Schedule 2018

The Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny has launched the autumn 2018 training programme schedule for entrepreneurs, owner/managers and employees of micro-enterprises. The schedule is tailored to meet the needs of the entrepreneur and their employees operating in small businesses who require relevant skills to develop the business.

 

If you are setting up your own business for the first time, then the Start Your Own Business Course is a practical course which will help a new entrepreneur become “start-up ready”. There are evening and day time courses available, with an evening programme due to commence on Monday 2th September.

The Local Enterprise Office in conjunction with Kilkenny County Council and the Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce is running Kilkenny Retail Support Programme. The new short programme is designed to give consumer facing businesses expert advice and new ideas which will facilitate sales growth within their business. It will commence with a three hour seminar on Wednesday morning 26th September @ 8.00am in Butler House with one-to one site visits to each participants in the weeks following. A detailed action report will then be presented to each participant.

The LEO Kilkenny is also teaming up with LEO Carlow to organise an event for aspiring female entrepreneurs and female-led businesses across the region at Mount Juliet Estate on Thursday 18th October as part of National Women’s Enterprise Day. Guest speakers on the day will include Sinead Kane and Deirdre O’Kane.

 

The LEO Kilkenny has developed a range of courses and workshops aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of small business owner-managers, so their businesses have an increased opportunity for success. The schedule is constantly reviewed based on trends and feedback from participants. There is also a range of new programme on offer including “Understanding and Using the Revenue Online Service”, ”Beginners Guide to Social Media”, “Facebook Advertising” and the “Basics of Cyber Security for the micro enterprise”  to mention a few.

 

Fiona Deegan, Head of Local Enterprise said with the comprehensive autumn training programme available, I would encourage entrepreneurs, small business owners and their staff to check out and participate in the training and events taking place. She further added the LEO Kilkenny is the first-stop-shop for entrepreneurs and small business owners based in Kilkenny and there is a range of business support packages along with the training programmes including business information and advice, mentoring and financial assistance.
