Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny Launches Autumn Training Schedule 2021

The Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny has launched the Autumn 2021 training schedule which will run predominantly online for this season. The courses on offer range from Start Your Own Business Programmes, Management Development Programmes, financial related programmes such as book-keeping and taxation, sales and marketing, including short practical digital marketing courses and many more.

Developing the management capabilities of the owner manger is a priority for the Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny and this Autumn there are a number of programmes available. “Look to the Future – Sustain Your Business” programme is aimed at assisting businesses trading greater than 18 months to develop a clear strategy for growth that is adaptable for the future. The “Future Retailing in Kilkenny” programme is designed specifically for business operating in the retail sector (i.e. fashion and accessories, homeware, food and beverage, sports, electronics, personal services – hairdressers, barbers, beauty salons, gyms, etc., ecommerce, etc.) and consists of 2 days workshops and one-to-one on-site mentoring. For previous Management Development Programmes participants, the Local Enterprise Office is offering an extensive coaching programme with Blaise Brosnan of the Management Resource Institute.

Starting a business can be stressful with a long list of different tasks and difficult to know where to begin. A good starting point is participation on the Start Your Own Business Course which allows individuals to obtain and develop the necessary skills and knowledge to assess the marketing and financial viability of their business idea. Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Cllr. Fidelis Doherty stated that “the Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny endeavours to support the small business to start-up and grow.” She added “If you are in business or thinking of starting one, you should contact the Local Enterprise Office to see how they can help”.

The Local Enterprise Office is conscious that for business to succeed, it is essential to support them by enhancing their skills, competencies and knowledge” commented Fiona Deegan, Head of Enterprise. She further added “our Autumn Training Schedule is designed to support small businesses owners and entrepreneurs based in County Kilkenny”.
