' No man is an island " We all need each other In business could be the heading? .. Networking is a crucial part of any business ..Margaret will demonstrate how  it both benefits her mentally and business wise .

Meet Our Guest Speaker  - Margaret Hoctor

Specialist in Creativity, Idea Generation, Trends, Market Research, Business Innovation, Marketing, Sales and Promotion and Personal Development

Wicklow based Margaret Hoctor is an inspirational business woman.

Having faced redundancy from a Senior Director role in 2013 in a leading Global Market Research company she found herself reviewing her situation and decided along with her husband to build the farm business. Fast forward seven years and they have diversified into lamb direct, where all their lamb is sold in full boxes, half boxes from the farm, online or in pieces in farmers markets. They also produce their own apple juice and are in several shops in South Wicklow Dublin. To add to the menu three years ago they now produce seasonal sweetcorn which with clever marketing on a budget has grown too. On the service side they run a full horse livery business.

Margaret is also is a trainer coach and speaker and when not lambing and working on the farm is a trainer with the Entrepreneurs Academy sharing what her learnings are in ‘real time ‘with start-up’s.

Margaret recently spoke at the Women in Ag conference in Sligo where over 600 women attended.

Her story is told with honesty, humour and passion.

Margaret is delighted to speak about her experience to date and how being part of a network helps her both mentally and in hiring various skills that the farm may require, she says   “No man is an island, and we all need each other in business , coopetition and collaboration are normal ways of working together . We need to be versatile and flexible in these changing times.”

She looks very much forward to this lovely day and meeting all.

Margaret is a member of Network Ireland Wicklow Branch; and the International Authority of Professional Coaching and Mentoring.
