This online course will run over two half days - Tue 24th Nov and Tues 1st Dec from 10.00am - 12.00noon 

Communicating with new and potential customers is extremely important to the success of any business and especially with SMEs and micro-businesses. Small business are resource and time poor so this workshop is designed to help them to manage their online communications with ease and to streamline their online communication procedures. This workshop will include the following:

  • An introduction to all key communication channels including email, social media, chatbots and live chat 
  • Developing internal customer services guidelines / policy
  • Understanding customer expectations and what is required to achieve excellent customer services in this digital age 
  • Tool kit: an introduction to a range of online tools to help streamline processes
  • Shift: a platform to manage many communication channels via one platform e.g. Tawk Live Chat, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and a range of social media management tools like Buffer etc.
  • Tawk live chat – free tool to facilitate live chat on a website with app for easy monitoring and management 
  • Setting up Facebook auto-responders 
  • Email: using auto-responder effectively, setting up signature on most popular platforms like Gmail and Outlook.
  • Introduction to email automation and how to use it to communicate with customers • Case studies of how excellent online customer services can increase sales / leads.

  • Hands on using Tawk free live chat features

To take part in the practical elements all participants must have a fully charged laptop (not a tablet) and smartphone for this workshop.
