The aim of the workshop is to give clients the tools to deliver a clear and concise message in a confident and relaxed manner with the mainstream media and also how to have a greater awareness of how to target your audience.

This Online Course will run over two half days - Wed 30th Sept & Thur 1st Oct from 9.30am to 12.00 noon.

This courses aims to cover the following.

  • Engaging with the media. Advice to businesses on how to communicate with mainstream media.
  • Targeting your audience. Each time you communicate you need to decide who your message is aimed at.
  • Understanding journalists. They are important in contextualising your message.
  • Jargon busting.
  • Preparation is the key. Being interviewed for the broadcast media can be daunting but there are some basic rules and techniques which will increase your chances of being effective.
  • Use of language.
  • Dealing with a crisis. How to get around those tricky situations.
  • One to One interviewing. (Dependant on class size. It may not be possible to accommodate all participant’s).
  • The do’s and don’ts of social media.
