The aim of this course is to teach marketers and business owners what Google Ads are, how they work and how to do the keyword research necessary to run a successful campaign and to effectively promote the business by running ads in Google Ads.

  • The difference between ads and organic search results
  • Defining your marketing goals; know what you want your ads to achieve
  • Setting up an advertising campaign, choosing your daily budget, understand the various campaign options
  • How Google decides which ads to show, and where to show them
  • Keywords: what they are, how to use the Keyword Planner to find the best ones for your business, and understanding Match Types
  • Quality Score: what it is; how it impacts on ad position and cost
  • Creating Ad Groups and creating multiple ads to test what works
  • The landing page experience - checking that your website is going to encourage people to do business with you
  • Tracking the effectiveness of  ads, and improving results

**All participants must have a fully charged laptop (not a tablet) and smartphone for this workshop **
