KILKENNY SUCCESS AT THE NATIONAL ENTERPRISE AWARDS

Huwmo Limited who are supported by Local Enterprise Office Kilkenny, were winners at this year’s National Enterprise Awards. The awards, which took place at the Round Room in the Mansion House in Dublin, were in their 26th year and run annually by the Local Enterprise Offices.

Shane Doherty with his business, Huwmo Limited, took home the South-East regional award. Huwmo Is a SaaS platform helping independent hotels optimise pricing, fill empty rooms and earn commission. Huwmo is owned and managed by founder Shane Doherty and co-founder Micheál Dunne

In acknowledging the success, Cathaoirleach Cllr. Mary Hilda Cavanagh, Kilkenny County Council said, “Congratulations to Shane and Micheál on representing Kilkenny Local Enterprise office at the National Enterprise awards and on winning the south east regional award. Small businesses are at the heart of our communities. Entrepreneurs like Shane and Micheál are great examples of how, identified challenges can be turned into opportunities and successful businesses addressing the needs and offering appropriate solutions”

Announcing the award winners at the Mansion House, Peter Burke, Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment said; “The National Enterprise Awards are the highlight of the small business and enterprise calendar, with a growing diversity of businesses and an increasingly high standard among the companies progressing through the process year on year.   We have some exceptional winners, but the finalists overall have been outstanding, reflecting the remarkable quality of small businesses right across the country.
