National Award for South Cork Students at Enterprise Finals...
Students from South Cork have taken first prize in My Entrepreneurial Journey and a Special Merit in the Junior Category at this year’s Student Enterprise Programme National Finals. The Finals of the Local Enterprise Office initiative were held physically for the first time in three years at the Helix in Dublin with An Tánaiste Leo Varadkar and host RTE’s Rick O’Shea, with students and teachers in attendance from all over the country.
Supported by Local Enterprise Office South Cork, Andrew Ryan from Colaiste Muire won first place in the junior My Entrepreneurial Journey competition with Grandma’s Larder. With Beefree winning a special merit in the Junior category. BeeFree developed a wide and sustainable range of beeswax wraps for food. The winning students were Andrew Ryan and Ellen McDonagh, also from Colaiste Muire in Crosshaven, who worked under the guidance of their teachers, Claire O’Brien, Anna O’Sullivan, and Pamela O’Connell....
