At this beginner-friendly workshop you will start creating on-brand, professional-looking graphics using Canva's free tools. From navigating the dashboard to creating social media posts and branded content, this workshop will help you unlock the power of design to elevate your marketing and communications.

Introduction to Canva
- setting up a Canva account (Free vs. Pro version)
- navigating the Canva dashboard and key features
- creating brand kit (Free vs. Pro)
- tools to help with creating your brand kit incl. the Canva Colour Wheel
Creating your First Designs
- using templates to create social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook)
- designing from scratch: adding text, images and backgrounds
Building your Content
- using brand assets (logo, colour palette, fonts) in designs
- ensuring consistency across al designs
- downloading files in different formats (PDF, PNG, MP4 etc)
Creating Social Media Posts
- designing eye-catching images for posts and stories
- introduction to carousel posts (Instagram and LinkedIn)
Video Creation Basics
- creating simple social media videos using Canva's animation and transitions
Q & A
Practical Exercise
- create Social Media Post: participants will create and image and short video post from scratch using Canva templates, branding tools and design elements
Outcome
