LEO KILKENNY GOING GREEN CONFERENCE PROMOTES GREEN SUPPORTS TO START UP BUSINESSES

Kilkenny County Council, through its Local Enterprise Office, in partnership with Kilkenny County Council Climate Action Team and Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce staged a seminar showcasing the green supports and funding opportunities for businesses in Kilkenny at Hotel Kilkenny on Tuesday 30th September
Eanna Ni Lamhna was the keynote speaker for the event and focused on sustainability practices. A discussion panel with local entrepreneurs took place to discuss their real-life experiences in the market including Amanda Greer of Tabu Tapas and Tina Dowling of The Watershed

The event was specifically designed to help entrepreneurs and businesses to understand and find out more about the services provided by organisations with a remit for green supports. Expert advice was available to inform entrepreneurs about where to start, what supports are available and how to develop the greener policies within the business.
John Mulcahy, Business Advisor with the Local Enterprise Office and green supports co - Ordinator noted ‘’Kilkenny County Council is actively working to highlight the support systems available for businesses in Kilkenny through events like the LEO Going Green Conference. The Going Green Conference displayed the range of supports available to local businesses in Kilkenny. The primary focus of the conference was to provide information on supports available and to start the conversations on practical examples of green practices that can be hugely beneficial to your business.’
