Organised by the Local Enterprise Offices, this annual celebration of small businesses offers something for everyone, whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow. The mix of content is designed to engage attendees with all levels of AI knowledge and includes motivational keynotes, expert-led panels and workshops, as well as interactive demonstrations. |
6.30pm-9.00pm | Start Your Own Business Course | This programme is aimed at helping the Entrepreneur become 'start-up' ready, focusing on how to prepare business plans, what market research and marketing tools are available, how to manage cash flow and making the most out of technology. If you are setting up your own business for the first time, this is a practical course which will give you an understanding of all the requirements and challenges you are likely to encounter. |

The Student Enterprise Awards is the flagship enterprise programme at second level with 17,000 students from all areas of the country involved each year. It is a practical programme that offers students the opportunity to take a business from idea stage, through market research to production, selling, record keeping, management and finally writing a comprehensive report on the business. Participation in the Student Enterprise Awards enables students to acquire and develop a wide range of personal and business attributes and skills. |

| Announcement of Kilkenny National Enterprise Awards Winner | The National Enterprise Awards, Ireland's premier showcase for small business success, are organised annually by the Local Enterprise Offices. The announcement of the Kilkenny National Enterprise Awards will take place on Friday 7th March. Each county chooses its leading small business to represent them at the national competition and the successful business will make a presentation on their growth strategy and take part in an intensive questions and answers session with an experienced panel of entrepreneur judges to compete in the national competition. The awards culminate in a ceremony at Dublin's Mansion House each May, where Ireland's Enterprise of the Year is crowned. |
