IRELAND FUNDS & NDRC OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS

The Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition is an opportunity for Local Enterprise Office clients or potential clients to bring their business idea from concept to pitch.

It gives early stage tech entrepreneurs the chance to secure a place on one of NDRC’s investment programmes, €16,000 in prize money and various other supports through a new initiative between the Ireland Funds and the NDRC.

Now in it’s seventh year, the Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland who are at pre-investment stage.

In 2018, the Ireland Funds have teamed up with the NDRC, Ireland’s most successful digital accelerator.  They are specifically designed to enable entrepreneurial teams transform solid ideas into commercially viable startups.

From the applicants, ten businesses will be selected to receive mentoring and support from NDRC through a series of workshops during May and June.  This will then be followed by the chance to pitch for a place on one of the NDRC’s investment programmes and the €10,000 first prize.  The first and second runners up will receive €5,000 and €1,000 respectively.

The competition is specifically looking for three areas as part of the application process –

  • A technology / digital proposition
  • Global scalability potential
  • A team (must be more than one person)

Applicants must enter by noon on Wednesday, 25th April, 2018 at www.ndrc.ie
