Dún Laoghaire Rathdown is extremely well serviced by roads, rail, bus, ferry and air.

  • By Road
    DLR is exceptionally well situated as Dublin is surrounded by the M50 motorway and all national roads heading to Dublin are connected to the M50.

  • By Rail
    DLR offers two rail transport options; the DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transport) rail system which runs along the coast and the LUAS tram system which runs further inland. Please see www.irishrail.ie and www.luas.ie for further information.

  • By Bus
    Towns and villages are well serviced by public and private bus operators. Please see www.dublinbus.ie. While the Aircoach offers 24hr luxury coach service between Dublin Airport and various locations throughout DLR www.aircoach.ie

    Dublin Airport is only 20km away and is serviced by numerous Dublin Bus routes along with private operators, taxis, and as previously mentioned, the Aircoach. Please click here for further information.

  • By Ferry
    Stenaline run a regular service directly into the port of Dun Laoghaire from Holyhead in North Wales. Sailings run twice daily in each direction subject to season. Sailing time is approx 90 mins, subject to weather. There is ample parking available within the vicinity of the port.
    Irish Ferries also run services from Liverpool and Holyhead to the Port of Dublin, only 12km away
