LIFT Ireland - Leadership & Facilitator Training

LIFT Ireland is a not-for-profit initiative aimed at increasing the level of positive leadership in Ireland. Leadership is not limited to a select few and everyone can be a leader in their own way. LIFT Ireland are building a nation of positive leaders. They believe that the more people ‘living LIFT’, the better the future we create for our country.​

LIFT, which stands for ‘Leading Ireland’s Future Together’, was built on a desire to change the country for the better by changing the way people view leadership.

It is doing this through its eight-part, group learning process. This programme is being rolled out nationwide via a volunteer facilitator network with a goal of reaching 10% of the population by 2028.

About this Event

LIFT Ireland are hosting this half day Leadership & Facilitator Training workshop where they will be adding to their network of over 800 facilitators. ​

By becoming a LIFT Facilitator, you are becoming a central part of a national initiative designed to raise the standards of personal leadership in Ireland, and by doing that, raising the standards of life for all people living on our island.​

Central to the LIFT concept is the Roundtable process, which is based on eight key leadership values. Each week, for a total of eight weeks, a certified facilitator guides a roundtable of 4-5 individuals through a specific leadership value. Using a proven systemic approach, the members of each roundtable reflect on what that value means to them and how they can improve in this area.

As a facilitator, your role is to ensure that the roundtable process is followed step-by-step. The facilitator, encourages others and creates an open and transparent environment for the roundtables to occur within.​

At the end of the event, attendees will be given a LIFT Ireland Facilitator Certificate and be ready to hold their first leadership roundtable.

LIFT is for everyone. Being a leader isn’t about having a title, position of authority or ranking. You don’t have to be a captain, manager or CEO. LIFT believe that all of us are leaders. No matter our role in life, we can all lead by example and set standards for ourselves and others.

LIFT Ireland was founded by leadership expert Joanne Hession along with her brother, David Hession, and Sonya Lennon of Dress for Success Dublin. It is also backed by an exemplary advisory board made up of some of Ireland’s most influential community representatives and business people.
