The business was founded in 2019 by Michelle Lawlor who has worked in the wine industry for 18 years across 3 continents. Michelle is an educator in Ireland, sommelier in the UK, wine trader in Hong Kong, and cellar-hand in Italy and New Zealand. Her broad depth of the experience and knowledge is merged together for The Nude Wine Co’s market leading website.
Tapping into the ‘New Normal’
In March 2020, the Covid19 lockdown saw an increase in the demand for online socialising. Already an expert in the online service delivery, The Nude Wine Co saw the opportunity to tap into this growing trend by launching #NudeWineTV.
These free live interactive wine tasting events take place on Instagram and Facebook. User-friendly and easily accessible, customers can join the #NudeWineTV virtual wine class by logging in on Friday evenings at 8.30pm. Wines can be ordered direct from the Nude Wine Co website with next day delivery ahead of the virtual event.

The Nude Wine Co availed of expert business continuity consultancy through the use of the Covid 19 Business Continuity Voucher from the Kildare Local Enterprise Office.
The business was also approved a Trading Online Voucher which allowed them revamp their website and improve their overall online presence. CE Michelle Lawlor also completed social media and video marketing courses with the Kildare Local Enterprise Office, which supported her in the delivery of the Nude Wine Co online business model.
