To all Kildare business owners,

I regret you had to experience another extremely difficult day in what is the most challenging of times for you and your families along with this evening confirmation of a further lockdown for our county.

However, I am also feeling hopeful given tonight’s lowering of Covid19 figures in County Kildare.

Having worked with the Department of Business Enterprise and Innovation,  I am happy with the announcement that further supports will now be available specifically for you, Kildare businesses.

We welcome additional funding from theTánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar, and in particular, the further 20% top-up to the Restart Grant Plus, equivalent to a 40% uplift overall, bringing the new minimum grant to €5,600 and the maximum grant to €35,000.
