Now recruiting: Local Enterprise Office Graduate Programme

The LEO Graduate Programme is an 18 month programme which offers business graduates the opportunity to be part of the LEO team, to work closely with LEO clients supporting them in starting exciting new businesses in Kildare and drive and embed a culture of entrepreneurship.


The graduate will collaborate with the Enterprise and Economic Development team of Kildare County Council to
develop support initiatives across multiple clusters/remits including:


- Implementation of Economic Development Strategy
- Manufacturing
- Food & Beverage
- Craft, Creativity & Design
- Fashion & Textiles
- Women in Business
- Retail
- Digitisation and E-Commerce
- Sustainability and Green Business
- Tourism

The graduate will gain unique exposure to diverse sectors and support businesses from ideation to start-up and
scaling to achieve export ambition. This is a challenging, fast-paced opportunity which is hugely rewarding given
the ambition of the client companies you will be exposed to.

Achievement of the actions set out in these strategic plans defines the work plan of the Enterprise and
Economic Development Unit of Kildare County Council, of which the graduate will be a part.


Skills and attributes for success

  • A minimum 2.1 in your chosen Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • You demonstrate integrity, respect, and commitment to team development.
  • You prioritise customer service and recognise the challenges faced by entrepreneurs.
  • You have the energy, enthusiasm and the courage to lead.
  • You can see the bigger picture, while also being detail oriented.
  • You enjoy problem solving, you are willing to ask questions, embrace new challenges and are passionate about reimagining the future.
  • You have the proficiency to manage several projects simultaneously; and are confident handlingchange and prioritising tasks.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions.

This is a full-time post based in MERITS, Naas, Co. Kildare.

Remote working is not facilitated as a part of this role.
