Taste of Kildare a highlight of our county’s food scene and growing food cluster

Kildare County Council’s Local Enterprise Office launches at Taste of Kildare to Showcase 20 Local Food Producers from 20th – 22nd September in Naas Racecourse

Taste of Kildare is set to kick off with an exciting celebration of local flavors and culinary talent.

The festival, which is sponsored by Kildare County Council’s Local Enterprise Office, promises to offer a vibrant experience for food lovers, families, and the community, with a variety of food stalls, live demonstrations, and interactive workshops.

Specifically, the Local Enterprise Office will showcase 20 Local Food and Beverage Producers in the Tote Hall over the weekend. This dedicated space is designed to spotlight the importance of supporting local producers and celebrating the rich diversity of food culture in our county.

Jacqui Mc Nabb, Head of Enterprise, Tourism and Economic Development said:We are extremely proud bring together 20 talented local food producers under one roof, who are all members of our food cluster Flavours of Kildare. In creating this space, we wanted to make this a unique opportunity to shine a spotlight on the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring us fresh, delicious, and sustainable food. Our food cluster Flavours of Kildare grows year on year, with the sole purpose of supporting Kildare’s food and hospitality businesses.”

From farm-fresh produce to artisanal cheeses and craft beverages, the festival is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience the very best that local talent has to offer.

This festival highlights the importance of supporting small-scale, local businesses that contribute to the sustainability of our local food economy.

In addition, the Local Enterprise Office will bring a vibrant selection of craft and creativity to the festival on Saturday. GATHER will pop-up at Taste of Kildare on level 1 of the Tote Hall. For those that visited Gather at Kildare Village, or in its newest home Market Square, Kildare Town, you’ll recognise the colourful, quirky and talented makers and designers of Kildare.
