  • On 10th October the world is coming together to talk about the climate crisis
  • MERITS is hosting a webinar ‘The Role of Digital Technology in Climate Action’ to highlight how technology is key in the battle against Climate Change

Kildare Local Enterprise Office in association with MERITS have recently launched the programme for their upcoming webinar ‘The Role of Digital Technology in Climate Action’ on Saturday 10th of October from 4pm – 5:30pm.

This event is part of the “24 Hours of Reality” programme of global events to highlight the importance of Climate Action.  It is also the first event hosted by MERITS – a new Innovation Hub for tech StartUps in the Mid-Eastern Region of Ireland, funded by Kildare County Council and Enterprise Ireland (under REDF).

The event is open to anyone but prior registration is necessary.  In particular, it is being promoted to the “Northwest European Isles” group of the Climate Reality Network (Britain, Ireland, Faroes Island, Isle of Man, Greenland).

The event is also aimed at Entrepreneurs, StartUps and ScaleUps in the Digital Technology Sector as well as anyone with an interest in Climate Change and Sustainability.

The objective of the online seminar is to give participants a detailed understanding of the urgency of businesses taking a lead on Climate Action, what actions they can take now and how digital technology can enable these actions.  It is envisaged that MERITS will be home to many tech companies and a portion of these will have solutions relevant to Climate Action and Sustainability.
