Get your business #BrexitReady
Are you planning to move goods to, from or through the UK after Brexit? Prepare your business for customs at this one-day interactive workshop, run regionally by the Local Enterprise Offices.
If the UK leaves the Customs Union and Single Market, it will become a ‘Third Country’ for customs purposes. Regardless of a hard or soft Customs Brexit, goods to/from the UK or transiting through the UK, will be subject to strict compliance and documentation requirements.
Learn about the potential impacts, formalities and procedures you will need to adopt when trading with a country which is outside the Single Market and Custom Unions (a ‘Third Country’).
Open to businesses from all sectors, this workshop will cover areas such as what export and import procedures apply, how tariffs work and how to correctly classify goods.
These workshops are fully funded by the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland, and are delivered by Export-Edge Training, on behalf of Local Enterprise Office Kildare.
The aims of this workshop are to help Irish businesses understand:
- The administration process around import and export procedures.
- Customs formalities at borders.
- The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) Process.
- Tariffs and the cost implications of tariffs
- Import procedures, such as the Electronic
- Declaration Process and Automated Entry Processing (AEP).
Lunch is included.
