LEO Kildare Women in Business Cluster Monthly Meeting

The virtual event for Kildare LEO Women in Business Cluster meeting in November invites two of our Kildare Women in Business, Interior Designer Jackie Tyrrell, and Communication & Presentation Skills Specialist Maureen McCowen to share their personal business journeys with our cluster members.

• Using an online presentation, each will discuss,
• The personal journey to establishing and growing her business
• Some of the key challenges and opportunities encountered along the way
• The Kildare LEO supports that each availed of to support the growth & development of their businesses

There will be ample time for the women in business cluster members to engage with Jackie & Maureen through Q&A and to benefit from their business experiences, skills, and talent.

Jackie Tyrrell Design is an award-winning Interior Design Studio with a passion for excellent design and dedicated personal customer service. Jackie was a senior lecturer at the  Dublin Institute of Design. She holds a diploma from the internationally  acclaimed  RHODEC Design School  in interior design and was awarded a Hons Degree in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design from the  Dublin Institute of Technology.  She completed her Masters in Professional Practice, writing her thesis on Biophilic Design. She is a strong voice and advocate for the many environmental and health generating benefits of Biophilic design and was interviewed by Dermot Bannon on the design ethos for the Inside-Out Home Show. Jackie has developed and delivers in collaboration with DPP Skillnet the only course on Biophilic design available in Ireland.

Maureen McCowen is a Communication and Presentation Skills Specialist who helps business professionals, teams and individuals unlock their speaking confidence. Maureen has worked with clients throughout the country and has delivered 1-1 coaching and team training in the UK, Europe, USA, Latin America and Asia. Her clients include Intel, Grant Thornton, Eirgrid, Hewlett Packard Financial Services and Fortinet. Maureen holds a BA in Irish & French, and H Dip in Education from NUIG. She also holds a QQI Level 6 Professional Practice Certificate in Training & Development and QQI Level 6 in Coaching Models of Practice. Maureen’s vision is that speaking moves from a challenge to a core asset for every client. With extensive experience teaching, training and connecting, Maureen knows the importance of being able to communicate your message clearly, effectively and professionally.
