Local Enterprise Offices in Kildare & Meath have joined forces to present an evening with the Domestic Divas, Cat Lawlor & Aisli Madden.

Aisli Madden is an Author, graphic designer and home making expert! Aisli’s late mother Deirdre Madden wrote the bible on Home Economics “All about Home Economics” which was re-published in 2011 following a public appeal from people who had grown up with the book. Copies can still be purchased on www.deirdremadden.ie. Aisli now runs her own graphic design company – DesignBOS. Aisli began her graphic design career at 14 when Deirdre asked her to illustrate one of her books.

She is currently designing, writing and illustrating her own series of children’s books, entitled Buddabugzz. These books will teach mindfulness to children through magical tales of adventure and self-discovery. She is soon to launch a Kickstarter campaign to get the project off the ground. See www.buddabugzz.com for more details.

Aisli has inherited her mum’s cheeky sense of humour. Deirdre passed on all of her invaluable skills to her daughter too and now Aisli is eager to share them with the Domestic Divas audience.

Cat Lawlor is an award winning baker and cake designer from Dublin. Cat, a former psychology graduate, honed her skills into creating cakes and other sweet treats that can only be described as works of art. Her business ‘The Cake Cuppery’ was established in the summer of 2011 and has become a well-known home bakery. Cat was taught at an early age how to bake by her mum Kathy and was given her first cook book at the age of 3!

She regularly enjoyed baking cupcakes for family and friends and what started off as a love for all things sweet soon became a cake obsession. She won the title of “Wedding Cake Designer of the Year” at this year’s Weddings Online awards. Her work has been featured in numerous publications including; Confetti, Irish Brides, VIP and The Irish Wedding Journal.

There is no charge and is open to all women in Counties Kildare & Meath who have an interest in enterprise, self-employment or entrepreneurship.
