GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

GDPR

Is your business GDPR ready?

Kildare Local Enterprise Office is ready to protect your business from major penalties through education of these new regulations

As and from 25th May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’) introduces law, which will change how organisations are allowed to handle and manage personal data collected during the course of business activities. Whether you operate as an organisation, sole trader, health provider or a company GDPR will apply to your business.

Our new series of GDPR Workshops provide GDPR awareness and practical advice about how to design and implement a GDPR compliance plan.

Learn the essentials

  • Learn about mandatory data protection registrations
  • Learn about best practice data management
  • Learn about data risk & compliance processes
  • Learn about proper data mapping techniques
  • Learn about data sharing
  • Learn about the rules and penalties associated with data minimization.
  • Learn about new liabilities and responsibilities assumed under GDPR.

GDPR brings into effect law that obliges all businesses to handle, store, and process personal information collected in or outside of the EU about member citizens in compliance with the law, and imposes heavy penalties for failing to comply with the new regulations.
