Cork/Kerry Food Forum 2014

This is an exciting event to promote Cork and Kerry food and artisan producers, by a partnership including the Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) Cork & Kerry, Cork City Council, Cork County Council, SuperValu and Bord Bia. The Cork and Kerry Food Forum will take place in the City Hall in Cork on Monday 30th June 2014 and an artisan food market is open to the public from 12.30pm and people are invited to drop in to the City Hall any time from 12.30 - 3.30pm.

Food lovers will particularly enjoy the showcase of artisan produce from Cork and Kerry, with tastings and demonstrations of an incredible variety of food from unique cheeses, to farm fresh herbs, confectionary, meat and fish products as well as cookery demonstrations with celebrity chef and Supervalu ambassador, Kevin Dundon.

8.30am-10.30am: Strictly Trade Buyers Only during these 2 hours: Open to SuperValu Buyers, Store Managers, Store Owners, Independent Retailers and Foodservices.

  • 10.35-10.55am: Minister Simon Coveney - The importance of the Irish food sector.
  • 10.55-11.15am: Aidan Cotter, CEO, Bord Bia - Ireland, a changing marketplace.
  • 11.15-11.35am: Martin Kelleher, MD, Musgrave Retail Partners IRL - Introduction to Musgrave and the SuperValu brand. How SuperValu supports local businesses.
  • 11.35-11.55am: Eamon Howell, Trading Director, Musgrave Retail Partners IRL - Overview of the SuperValu Food Leadership and the Food Academy Start Programme.
  • 11.55-12.15am: Q&A

12.30pm-3.30pm: Visit the largest artisan food market

  • Opportunity to meet the food producers, purchase and taste their products and attend food demonstrations from celebrity chef Kevin Dundon.
