Practical Help To Navigate Brexit - Páirc Uí Chaoimh - Thursday, 17th May 2018

Recent research shows that increasing numbers of SMEs are now making plans for Brexit.  Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) in Cork, in partnership with InterTradeIreland (the cross-border trade body) are hosting a ‘Practical Help to Navigate Brexit’ event at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Thursday 17th May 2018 to help local businesses prepare for Brexit.

WHAT CAN ATTENDEES EXPECT?

  • Learn from case study examples how Brexit can impact a business located anywhere on the island and what ‘no risk’ actions can be taken now to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities;
  • Information on how to access Brexit Start to Plan funding of €2,000 from InterTradeIreland and also details of support from other agencies including the Cork Local Enterprise Offices and the recently launched Brexit Loan Scheme available via the SBCI;
  • Workshop sessions providing practical help and technical guidance on how to complete Customs paperwork and identifying the potential impact on supply chain logistics for any business that buys or sells with NI / UK;
  • Insightful analysis from Vincent Power, Partner, A&L Goodbody specialising in EU law, EU and Irish competition, on the impact of Brexit on the Cork business community; 

A panel discussion hosted by George Lee (RTE) involving Vincent Power (Partner at A&L Goodbody), the Irish Exporters Association and also representatives from the local Cork business community.
