Who is it for: This practical workshop will give participants the skills to maintain the financial records in their business.
During the session, participants will learn how to:
- Complete books of first entry: Cashbook, Purchases Book, Sales Book, Cheques Journal
- Reconcile the Bank Account
- Reconcile the Customers and Suppliers Ledgers
- Complete the VAT Return
- Design a simple book-keeping system to suit their own business
2. Financial Management in the Small Business
Who is it for: This workshop is for business owner/mangers who need to develop financial management strategies in the business.
During the session, participants will learn how to:
- Interpret the Financial Statements in the business: Trading and Profit and Loss Accounts, Balance Sheet, Capital Account, Depreciation Account
- Differentiate between Sole Trader and Company Accounts
- Analyse the Balance Sheet, applying ratios
- Develop a credit control policy in the business
- Establish an effective debt collection procedure
3. Costing your product or service
Who is it for: This workshop is for any business owner/manger who needs to develop an effective pricing policy in their business.
During the session, participants will learn how to:
- Differentiate between variable and fixed costs in their business
- Choose the most appropriate pricing structure for their business
- Determine their overheads
- Calculate their break-even point
