Kildare's Food Chain Networking Forum is an initiative of LEO Kildare and Kildare County Council, and supported by Bord Bia to ensure that Co. Kildare's unique food heritage benefits from the attention it deserves.  Throughout the county, a diverse selection of crucial food training and food marketing initiatives are underway. Now, through the Kildare Food Chain brand, these programmes can enjoy better linkages and cross-promotion.

  • Food and drink producers, retailers and distributors.
  • Foodservice, cafés, delis, restaurants and bars, keen to support and use locally-sourced Kildare food ingredients.
  • Food sector suppliers: ingredients, packaging, services, equipment...etc.
  • Anyone or any business in the Kildare food sector who is passionate about supporting and developing local food and agri-business.

Who can participate?

For new and asipring food entrepreneurs to understand what is involved in setting up a food business. The content is designed to provide you with information which will allow you to avoid the pit falls normally associated with this journey.

How much does it cost?

Food START costs €30 and is inclusive of all course materials, training and mentoring.

The Local Enterprise Office – Kildare is offering food producers in Kildare the opportunity to promote their businesses in the Local Enterprise Office Marquee at the Kildare County Show which is due to take place on Sunday 17th June 2018 at Athy Showgrounds, Athy, Co Kildare.

We are offering local food producers throughout the County the opportunity to avail of a stand in the Local Enterprise Office Food Hall & Marquee (free of charge).
