Longford Local Enterprise Office offers two Business Incentive Schemes which may help your small business - Occupation of Vacant Commercial Premises Scheme and the Shopfront Scheme which is an Addendum to the Business Incentive Scheme 2019-2021 (extended to 31st December 2024)
The Occupation of Vacant Commercial Premises Scheme
This Business Incentive Scheme encourages the use of vacant commercial premises by incentivising both landlords and new businesses to occupy vacant premises by lowering entry costs through a grant related to the level of rates payable on the property and the amount of jobs created. This scheme is only open to industrial/manufacturing businesses.
Newly established industrial business setting up within Longford town or county, existing industrial business relocating or expanding from outside Longford or an existing an existing industrial business maintaining current location and expanding into a new location within Longford can apply for this Scheme.

Shopfront Scheme - Addendum to Business Incentive Scheme 2019-2021 (Extended to 31st December 2024)
The Shopfront Scheme is in addition to the original BIS Scheme. The Shopfront Scheme recognises the acute challenges faced by the retail sector in maintaining a high-street presence. The Scheme offers retail business support in either the development of a strategic, operational or growth plan tailored to individual business needs, helping address the challenges faced by high-street retailers, with Mentoring Assistance worth up to €700 or physical upgrade works to the exterior of their building, with a grant worth up to €700.Click here for further information on the Shopfront Scheme - Addendum to Business Incentive Scheme 2019-21 or here for the T&Cs for this Scheme
