National Women's Enterprise Day 2017

National Women's Enterprise Day 2017

The biggest-ever programme of events to mark 'National Women's Enterprise Day' is taking place on Thursday, October 12th. All 31 Local Enterprise Offices, which jointly supported over 14,000 female entrepreneurs in 2016, are behind the initiative and they have enlisted the help of established entrepreneurs, including Fashion Designer Heidi Higgins, Roisin Hogan of HIRO by Roisin, Alison Banton of Brooke and Shoals and Fionnuala Ardee of Killruddery Estate Enterprises, to share their success stories at fifteen events around the country that day.

This year’s theme is ‘open doors to new markets’ and NWED events are taking place in Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Carlow, Laois, Tipperary, Cork, Cavan, Monaghan, Meath, Dublin, Kildare, Waterford and Wicklow. The entrepreneurs are pictured in Killruddery House and Gardens near Bray, which is the venue for the NWED event with Local Enterprise Office Wicklow. Information about National Women’s Enterprise Day and the supports on offer through the Local Enterprise Offices is available through www.nwed.ie and www.localenterprise.ie.
