The LEO Dublin City Women in Business Network is an initiative of the Local Enterprise Office Dublin City to support females to start and grow new businesses. The reason for supporting this group is that women still lag behind men in terms of numbers starting business and particularly the numbers growing their businesses. There are over one hundred businesses in the network and the main activity is a monthly networking event featuring a Guest Speaker on a topic of interest to members and time for informal networking. The Awards were presented at an annual networking event for all of the LEO Dublin City Networks which also includes Plato Dublin, The Business Network and the Dublin Food Chain. This took place in the House of Lords Venue in the Bank of Ireland in College Green and was attended by over 80 members from the various networks.
