Course Objectives:
- To understand the essentials of tax registrations and tax-complaint business administration.
- To obtain an effective knowledge of how personal and corporate tax are calculated and how much tax you are likely to owe.
- To understand how to respond to Revenue queries and prepare for Revenue audits.
- To know what books and records to keep and the requirements for holding accounting records.
- To assess if sole trader or limited company status is more appropriate for your needs.
- To know what to expect from your accountant/tax advisor and approximately how much to pay.

- Business starters, from early-stage beginners to advanced entrepreneurs.
- Construction industry self-employed or contract workers.
- Back to Work Enterprise Allowance new business starters.
Process:
Half day workshop from 9.30am to 1.00pm. Content will be tailored to suit the audience.
Course attendees are also entitled to a one hour free consultation with the Course Leader. This meeting is informal and covers registration, taxes, payment dates, books and records, dealing with the revenue commissioners, what expenditure can be claimed as a tax deduction, sole trader versus limited company.
