Objectives

To give you the skills, tools and knowledge to be able to audit your social media content performance and
create memorable posts that improve your reach and engagement

Outcomes

At the end of the course, you will

  • Have analysed your Facebook and Instagram image and video content and have created a new content
    plan
  • Know how to design great visual social media content using Canva and other free and low-cost apps.

Content

An audit of your current social media posts – identify what posts are performing well and poorly and
why.

  • Understanding what your network wants from you and how to deliver it
  • Content pillars: what they are and planning your top 10.
  • Humanising your brand/business: how and why.
  • Defining your brand personality and why it is important
  • Brand assets: choosing your brand colours using a range of free online tools. Adding these brand
    colours to Canva.
  • Designing images and videos
    Canva: Designing flat lay images, slideshows and videos.
    Using apps like CapCut and Unfold to create impactful social media content for stories, feed
    posts and reels.
    Creating reels on Instagram and Facebook

It is envisaged that all participants will have social media accounts. They should be able to access their social media accounts on their laptop/pc and smartphone for the day. Ideally, participants should create a Canva.com account before the day. It is important that participants can navigate and move between Zoom and their web browser on the day.
