• Using brand assets, colours, and typography in video projects.
• Creating and reusing video templates for cohesive visual identity.

2. Planning and Storyboarding Videos

• The importance of planning.
• Mapping out a video narrative using a storyboarding template.
• Visual storytelling techniques: defining purpose, tone, and call-to-action.
• Understanding the rule of thirds
• Building a content outline before moving into design and editing

3. Advanced Video Editing Tools

• Layers, Grids, and Frames: Crafting multi-dimensional layouts.
• Beat Sync: Automatically syncing visuals to music tempo.
• Animation and Motion Effects: Creating dynamic visual interest.
• Precision Editing: Trimming, splitting, and aligning clips for seamless flow.
• Adding and editing music, narration, and sound effects

4. AI-Powered Design Tools

• Creating video and adding voice overs
• Using Magic Write to draft scripts, captions, or video copy.
• Generating unique visuals with the AI Text-to-Image Generator.
• Speeding up production with Bulk Create and smart resizing features

Participants should have access to Canva PRO for the day and have access to it on their laptop/pc (not tablet or
phone) to be able to participate in the practical exercises.
