  • What’s your brand (and what other IP have you got in your business)?
  • How to build up both your business and personal brands – practical tips!
  • Why does it matter / what value has that got? Getting investor ready / scaling your business
  • Why in the digital era it’s very important to be aware of copycats/dupes and people ‘borrowing’ your ideas
  • What can you do about it? Some helpful DIY solutions and when to get professional help
  • The use of AI-Generated content in your business – can I own it? Pitfalls and potential problems etc.

 Mary White

Mary is a Trade Marks and Designs specialist who especially passionate about helping high-potential start-ups and scaling-up SME companies with their growth strategies and intellectual property.  Mary works with many LEOs as a mentor and speaks often on the subjects of IP and AI, both nationally and internationally. She also assists in IP education for the Student Enterprise Programme for secondary schools.

She is also incoming Vice-Chair of the SME-Link Committee at ECTA, and sits on a number of other Boards and Committees. As part of her work on the Technical Committee on Innovation Management of the National Standards Authority of Ireland, Mary has contributed to the development of the ISO 56000 framework of innovation management standards, which offer organisations guidance on how to implement, maintain and improve innovation management systems. She has been a member of the Board of Ireland Fashion Week since its inception. Mary is also highly involved in Murgitroyd’s fashion and luxury goods team, and is the EU liaison for their China desk.
